"Caution: Old hands at work! Or rather: Old sheep. Old, black sheep. These self-proclaimed 100% DIY punks from Düsseldorf have been around since the eighties. And they regularly treat us to new songs somewhere between street-dog punk and melodic, almost-hardcore.

The fact that the band, fronted by singer Armin, has never drifted into shallow waters, but instead, as on this fantastic split LP, repeatedly manages to put its finger on the sore spot of our sick society ("Don't accept the police as an authority," "Upperclass girl," "Manhunt"), is not a given in today's music scene, but it's wonderful.

With LOS DISCKOLOS, these gentlemen sheep have also found a band to collaborate with that is truly inspiring: The Argentinians play a style of punk in which you can hear the love for the big three – the chords – so prevalent in South America since the Ramones era, in every second.
