"Glad this record showed up awhile back because I kind of dropped the ball on saying some words about the cassette Homemade Braces they released prior to this full-length, and as luck would have it, the track that made up that very cassette is the b-side here on Secret Tunes. Win win. Interesting deal Secret Tombs have going on here, with each side of the record being consumed by one long continues track that sounds like it could have very easily been cut up into individual ones. I suppose there is a reason to that and other than making things a bit difficult to pinpoint on the record, isn’t that big of a deal. To just kind of blanket it a bit, Secret Tombs play some pure rock and roll that certainly is putting the emphasis on riffs. Depending where you’re at in each of the tracks, they occasionally fall into some 70’s inspired arena rockin’ type jamming, that wavers in and out of some faster paced booze fueled dive bar rock vibes. Definitely a mixed bag, in terms of the direction this one heads…which makes the continues track thing feel like that much more of a roller coaster ride. Certainly good for those into the whole Dead Moon, Gun Club, etc. type of rock. Pretty solid stuff." - JonBoaws / BOAWS
