The Willis' pop inflected sound is complimented by diverse textures, unconventional intruments, resisting sonic, tonal, and rhythmic conventions with arrangements that don’t sacrifice the rock. Three part harmonies and hooks galore are common throughout the bands debut album for doubleplusgood records. “Bathtub, Lightbulb, Heartattack” was recorded with James Lison and was premixed by Alan Weatherhead, who has produced tracks by Cracker and Crooked Fingers and also plays with Sparklehorse and Hotel Lights.
